Deana arrived in Bradford in 1988 as a professional dancer in “Dick Whittington” at the Alhambra Theatre. The route from Barnsley to Bradford took in London, Orlando, Los Angeles, Alaska, the Caribbean & Mediterranean as Deana pursued a successful career as a professional dancer, choreographer, teacher and producer.
In 1999 Deana realised her dream to open her own dance academy and the Deana Morgan Academy was born. As well as incredible success in examinations and competitions Deana’s former pupils have appeared on the world’s greatest dance stages, namely Disneyland, Paris, Sadler’s Wells, Her Majesty’s Theatre, The London Palladium and the Royal Albert Hall, London.
Deana handed over the “DMA” reins last year to CC Dance Company in order to pursue her own dancing, performing and producing career. She still teaches many adult classes and also runs elite ballet programmes for talented youngsters across the north of England.
Since 2018 Deana has been building a reputation with various dance clients across the north working in both an advisory and practical capacity delivering dance initiatives. She is also a well respected and greatly sought after TDCI registered adjudicator for dance festivals and dance competitions.
Deana dances professional at any opportunity and produced and staged “One Night Only!” initially at the Alhambra Theatre, Bradford and then at the London Palladium.
