Motorbike Accident Repairs & Claims in Cardiff

Fairing, tank and paint repair done properly — with the claim and a replacement bike arranged through our partner.

Bike damage after an accident is rarely just cosmetic, and it's rarely simple. Fairings crack in places that are hard to reach, tank paint is often a multi-stage finish with candy coats or pearls that a general body shop won't get right, and plastics that look repairable from the outside can be split behind the mounting points. We treat motorcycle work as its own discipline rather than a car job scaled down.

    Fairings, plastics and paint

Cracked and split fairing panels are plastic welded from behind so the repair has real structural strength, then filled, flatted and refinished on the face. Mounting tabs — the first thing to break in a low-speed drop — are rebuilt rather than bodged with adhesive, because a tab that flexes will crack the panel again within a season.

Paint is where bike work is won or lost. Manufacturer finishes often run to several layers, with metallic or pearl base coats under a tinted candy and then clear. We colour match with a spectrophotometer, spray out test cards before touching the panel, and blend into adjacent surfaces so there's no visible transition. Tanks, side panels, belly pans, huggers, mudguards and top boxes all go through the same low-bake oven cure as our car work.

    • Plastic welding for cracked fairings and split panels
    • Mounting tab rebuilds
    • Tank, fairing and panel respray with candy and pearl matching
    • Decal and graphics reinstatement where available
    • Frame and cosmetic component refinishing

    Claims, injury and bike hire

Motorcycle accidents are more likely than car accidents to involve injury, and the claim side needs handling by people who deal with it daily. That's National Accident Support Line, an FCA-regulated claims management company. They manage liability, recovery of the bike from the scene, storage, and any personal injury element through their solicitor panel on a no win no fee basis. We don't give legal advice and we can't tell you what a claim will be worth — NASL will talk you through the process properly.

Where the accident wasn't your fault, a replacement motorcycle can be arranged so you're not off the road for the whole repair. Class and capacity are matched as closely as licensing and availability allow.

    Recovery and storage

If the bike isn't rideable, don't push it home and don't leave it where it is. Recovery from the roadside anywhere in Cardiff, Penarth, Barry, Bridgend, Newport or across South Wales can be arranged as part of the claim, along with secure storage until liability is settled and the repair is authorised. Storage costs on a non-fault claim are recovered from the at-fault insurer.

    Riders across South Wales

The workshop is in Cardiff at CF5 5AD and we see riders from across the region — commuters who came off in traffic, weekend riders who've been pulled out on, and couriers who need to be earning again quickly. Send photos through the estimator or on WhatsApp for an initial view before you bring anything in.
